Why spend money on great logo?

I know for many people in business or starting a new one there is always a relative or friend who once took an art class or two who is going to do their logo for them. And the best part is it will only cost $10 an hour. Red flag! Think about it for a second this is going to be your livelihood. When you send a letter or have a sign made this how people will see you, a first impression. We all know first impressions are important. Don't make the mistake of committing to a person to do your logo before you see some of their work. Since you are going to put a ton of time and effort into your business (if you haven't already) don't be afraid to spend some time finding the right graphic designer to do your logo. It may cost you a little more up front but think of what it will be worth if it draws customers in your front door. Remember many times your logo is what potential customers will see first so make it count!
